Guide

From o'clock to five-minute steps

Easy clocks show times on the hour and half hour. Medium shows any five-minute time, which is where reading the minute hand in fives matters. Hard gives a time and asks what it will be, or was, some minutes later or earlier.

Both hands are drawn in their true positions, so at 4:30 the hour hand sits halfway between 4 and 5, just like a real clock.

Frequently asked questions

Are the clocks drawn accurately?

Yes. The hour hand moves between the numbers as the minutes pass, so it is in the right place for every time.

How many clocks fit on a page?

About 12 at normal size in three columns, or 9 large clocks. Use Fit on one page if a sheet runs over.

Is there an answer key?

Yes, with each time written in digital form, such as 7:35.
